New Delhi, January 29: A colourful ensemble of folk songs and dance of Bengal was presented by a cultural troupe here this afternoon in the Bharat Parv event, which is being organized by the Government of India at Red Fort as part of the Republic Day celebrations.
Prantic Cultural Society, Indirapuram, presented the performance as part of the cultural programme segment of Bharat Parv. The programme was supported by the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Government of West Bengal.
Also on 28th January, students of Shinjan Dance Academy, Delhi, led by noted danseuse Smita Chakraborty, presented Rabindra Nritya at the Red Fort.
The first prize-winning West Bengal tableau, showcasing Bauls of Bengal, is being displayed at the Red Fort grounds as part of the event along with other Republic Day Parade tableaux.
