All Faith Prayer Meeting at Muktadhara

New Delhi, Jan 30: To mark the 66th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, an all-faith prayer meeting was organized by the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Government of West Bengal, at the Muktadhara Auditorium at West Bengal Information and Cultural Centre near Gole Market today.

Students of Convent of Jesus & Mary, Guru Harkrishan Public School India Gate, Union Academy Senior Secondary School and Shafiq Memorial Senior Secondary School took part in the solemn ceremony, reciting shlokas, religious texts and devotional songs. The event concluded with the rendering of  ”Vaishnava Jana To”, one of the favourite bhajans of Gandhiji, in chorus by the children and noted singer Shri Mihir Basu.

After the programme, Shri Bhaskar Khulbe, Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Resident Commissioner, handed over participation certificates and books to all the children as a token of appreciation.
